West Northamptonshire families, carers, young people, professionals and community members are being asked to book places for June SEND Community Conversations before the sessions take place across the area.
The in-person events will run from 10am to 2pm, with refreshments and lunch included. They are designed to gather lived experience and practical feedback for the new SEND and Inclusion Strategy covering 2027 to 2030.
Who can attend the June SEND conversations
The sessions are open to residents with an interest in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities services in West Northamptonshire.
That includes parents and carers, young people, school and health professionals, community groups and residents who want to help shape how local SEND and inclusion support should work in future.
Each session will use the Whose Shoes? approach, which is built around real-life experiences and different perspectives. The aim is to help people describe what is working, where families face barriers, and what meaningful change should look like in day-to-day services.

Booking and survey options still open
People who want to attend are being asked to register their interest through Eventbrite for the relevant session.
Separate sessions for children and young people are also being prepared by the educational psychology team, so their views can be included directly in the strategy work.
Anyone who cannot attend in person can still respond through the SEND surveys for parents, carers and professionals, and for children, young people and families. Both surveys are open until 17 June.
Feedback will shape the 2027 to 2030 strategy
West Northamptonshire Council says feedback from the Community Conversations and surveys will feed into the draft SEND and Inclusion Strategy for 2027 to 2030.
That draft is due to be shared for wider consultation in September, giving families, professionals and young people another opportunity to comment before the strategy is finalised.
