Around 125 miles of Worcestershire roads have received protective surface dressing after the county’s 2026 programme finished ahead of schedule. A thin protective layer, not a full road rebuild
Surface dressing applies a thin layer of bitumen followed by stone chippings, which are rolled into the existing road surface. The treatment is intended to help seal surfaces against water damage, improve skid resistance and slow deterioration caused by everyday traffic.
