Young fighters from Tottenham Kickboxing Association earned praise after a strong showing at an International Freestyle Sparring Network event in Surrey.
The TKBA Juniors travelled to Tolworth Recreation Centre in Surbiton for a day designed to give martial artists competitive experience outside their own clubs. For several of the younger students, it was their first time sparring in an external setting.

TKBA Juniors handle a first external test
The junior team was led by instructors Clayre Bennett and Es Francis, with students drawing attention for their composure, courage and technical ability.
According to Haringey Council, the group competed with confidence despite limited experience at this level. Coaches and spectators praised their respectful conduct, sharp movement and willingness to engage under pressure.

For a grassroots club, events like this can be a useful bridge between regular training and formal competition. They give younger athletes a chance to test timing, discipline and nerves in a controlled sporting environment.
Adult team adds wins for Tottenham
The event also included adult competitors, with Team TKBA led by Eddie Dujon, former undefeated World Kickboxing Association British champion and chief instructor of TKBA Adults.

The adult team produced a series of winning performances while representing Tottenham, adding to a strong day for the club across age groups.
The International Freestyle Sparring Network event brought together competitors from different backgrounds and ages, creating a competitive but developmental setting rather than a closed club session.
Who was involved
Tottenham Kickboxing Association’s junior squad was guided by Clayre Bennett and Es Francis. Eddie Dujon led the adult team.
Haringey Council reported the update on June 5, 2026, and said further information on TKBA Juniors is available through the club’s Instagram accounts @tkba_juniors and @clayre_kickbox4.
