Three major UK heritage institutions have been formally recognized for their commitment to professional standards and public access. The Archive Service Accreditation Committee has awarded accredited status to the Herefordshire Archive Service, London Metropolitan University Special Collections, and The National Waterways Archive for the first time.

Herefordshire Archive Service: Holds the records of the historic county, including consistory court Act Books and detailed documentation on munitions factory personnel from the First and Second World Wars.
London Metropolitan University Special Collections: Features extensive records on the history of the institution, furniture design, the Irish in Britain, and the development of trade unionism.
The National Waterways Archive: Located in Ellesmere Port, this collection covers 250 years of canal history and preserves the original records of pioneering engineers Thomas Telford, William Jessop, and James Brindley.

Ongoing National Standards

The National Archives administers this programme on behalf of a broad partnership, including the Archives and Records Association and various national records bodies across the UK. During the same review panel, several other institutions received renewals. Birmingham Archives and Collections, Enfield Local Studies, London Borough of Croydon Archives, Plymouth Archives, and the University of Brighton Design Archive were all awarded accreditation for the second time. Additionally, Exeter Cathedral Library and Archives reached a milestone by becoming the first service to be awarded accreditation for the third time.
