A significant draw for the 2026 exhibition is the Big Boy Driving Experience in 1:160 N scale, which offers attendees a direct, interactive way to engage with the hobby. Beyond the layouts, visitors can browse a wide selection of trade stands, including Great Eastern Models, Keith’s Model Railways, and specialist suppliers such as DCC Model Railway Signalling and Zoe Hunter Railway Maps. Representatives from the Mid Suffolk Light Railway and the Battle of Britain Locomotive Society will also be on-site to discuss their respective preservation projects and historical research.

Visitor information and accessibility

The exhibition is designed to be accessible to all attendees. The venue at Cambridge Regional College on Kings Hedges Road features flat terrain throughout the exhibition area, full wheelchair access, and designated Blue badge parking. Assistance dogs are welcome at the event.

For those planning their journey, the venue is located just off the A14, with Junction 32 serving traffic from the west and Junction 33 from the east; ample free parking is available on-site. Visitors arriving by public transport can use the Guided Busway, which offers a stop just a two-minute walk from the college. Direct bus services are available from Huntingdon, St. Ives, Cambridge City Centre, Cambridge North, and the main Cambridge Railway Station. Those arriving at Cambridge North station can either walk for approximately 25 minutes or take the Guided Busway for two stops to reach the campus. Cyclists will also find dedicated parking facilities on-site.
