Police are asking the public to help trace Saul Sangster, 23, who was reported missing from Perth.

He was last seen at about 1pm on Friday, 7 August, in the Muirhall Road area. Police Scotland says officers are increasingly concerned for his welfare and want to hear from anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is.

People with information should call Police Scotland on 101 and quote reference 1647 of Friday, 7 August, 2026. Anyone who sees Saul is also being urged to contact police so officers can check that he is safe and well.

Last sighting in the Muirhall Road area

The confirmed last known location is Muirhall Road in Perth, at around 1pm on Friday, 7 August. Police have not said where Saul was heading after he was seen or released further details of his movements.

Saul Sangster is described as 5ft 8in, of average build, with long black hair. He is believed to have been wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, grey trousers and dark shoes when he was last seen.

Possible Dundee connection

Police said Saul is originally from Dundee and officers believe he may have travelled there. The appeal is therefore relevant to people in both Perth and Dundee who may have seen someone matching the description since Friday afternoon.

Constable Matthew Thomson said: “We are growing concerned for Saul’s welfare and ask anyone who may have seen him or has knowledge of his whereabouts to please contact us.”

He added: “I would appeal directly to Saul: if you see this appeal, please get in touch so we know you are safe and well.”
