Brentwood residents can attend two free community safety events this autumn: the Halloween Community Safety Event at the Baytree Centre on 29 October 2026, from 9.30am to 12pm, and an Anti-Bullying Awareness Week event at Doddinghurst Road Community Church on 18 November, from 3pm to 5pm. Both are open to the public and require no booking.

Organised by Brentwood Borough Council’s Community Safety Team with partner organisations, the sessions give residents a chance to speak with professionals, raise concerns and find out about available support. The first focuses on Halloween safety and anti-social behaviour; the November event is intended especially for young people, parents, carers and families seeking information about bullying and its impact.

Halloween safety advice at the Baytree Centre

The Halloween Community Safety Event takes place at the Baytree Centre in Brentwood on Thursday 29 October, from 9.30am until noon. Residents can get practical advice and information to help them enjoy a safe Halloween. The event also offers an opportunity to discuss anti-social behaviour concerns with community safety partners.

For people who have a concern to raise, the session provides a face-to-face opportunity to speak with those partners and ask about support. The source does not set out specific activities or a detailed programme, so visitors should expect advice and discussion rather than a published schedule.

Anti-bullying information for young people and families

The second event is on Wednesday 18 November, from 3pm to 5pm, at Doddinghurst Road Community Church. Held in partnership with Arise Brentwood and Essex Police, it will raise awareness of bullying’s impact and provide information, guidance and support.

Young people, parents, carers and families are among the intended audience. Residents can use the session to ask questions and learn where to turn for help if bullying affects them or someone they know. The council announcement describes the event’s purpose but does not list individual speakers or scheduled activities.

Choosing a session and planning your visit

The two dates offer different points of focus: Halloween safety and anti-social behaviour at Baytree Centre in the morning, followed by anti-bullying awareness at the church in the afternoon on a later date. Residents may attend either event, depending on which topic is relevant to them; no booking is required for either.

Brentwood Borough Council’s announcement confirms that both events are free and open to residents. It provides no further transport or accessibility details. For the confirmed event information, consult the council’s announcement.
