She also chaired Children’s Services scrutiny for three years, including work linked to special educational needs and disabilities, as well as foster carer recruitment and retention. From 2024 to 2025, she served as Deputy Mayor.

Cllr Moore was born in East London, now called KuGompo City, in South Africa’s Eastern Cape. She studied journalism and began her career running a local newspaper before moving to London in 1997 with her husband, Justin. The couple became British citizens in 2003 and moved to Sidcup the same year, settling in Longlands ward.
