Wrexham fans get cheaper ways to reach home matches
Wrexham AFC supporters travelling to home league and cup matches can now claim an £2 Arriva adult day ticket when travelling within Wrexham County, provided they show proof of their match ticket and ask the driver for the discounted fare.
The offer is being promoted alongside the Ruthin Road park and ride and free matchday parking at Eagles Meadow, giving fans alternatives to parking near the Racecourse Ground.
£2 bus ticket for eligible matchday passengers
Arriva North West and Wales is offering the £2 Adult Day ticket to supporters travelling to a Wrexham AFC home match within Wrexham County. Passengers need to show proof of their match ticket and request the discounted fare directly from the driver.
The council says the initiative is intended to ease pressure on roads and residential streets around the stadium as attendances grow.
Ruthin Road park and ride fares
The Ruthin Road park and ride operates for all Wrexham AFC home league and cup fixtures. Supporters can park free of charge at the Ruthin Road council offices, then use the return bus service to the Racecourse Ground.

- Children: 50p return
- Passengers aged over 60 with a valid concessionary travel pass: free
The service is being promoted jointly by Wrexham Council, Wrexham AFC and Arriva North West and Wales.
Free parking at Eagles Meadow
The club is continuing its free Eagles Meadow parking offer on matchdays. To qualify, supporters must visit the Official Club Shop and enter their vehicle registration number in the online system.
That registration step matters: parking is not described as automatic simply because a supporter is attending the match.
Plan your journey before travelling
Fans should decide which option suits their journey before setting off: the £2 bus fare for eligible Arriva passengers, the Ruthin Road park and ride for a low-cost return trip, or Eagles Meadow parking after registering their vehicle.
Wrexham Council and the club are also working with Transport for Wales on possible rail fare incentives. No rail discount details have yet been confirmed. Council highways officers will continue planning with Wrexham AFC as matchday attendance and the future Kop stand development increase demands on the surrounding network.
