Two more people have been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old David Wynter outside Brent Civic Centre in Wembley.

Jahquarn St Hillaire, 18, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons have each been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon. They are due before Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 31 August.

Metropolitan Police officers arrested St Hillaire, of Preston Road in Wembley, and the unnamed teenager on Friday, 28 August. Both were charged the following day and remanded for their court appearance.

A 20-year-old man arrested during the same phase of the investigation has been charged separately. Diego Farquharson, of Birchen Grove in NW9, faces a charge of assisting an offender and is also scheduled to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on 31 August. Police said he remained in custody when their update was issued.

The latest charges mean three teenagers now face murder allegations in connection with David’s death. A 15-year-old boy was charged with murder on Thursday, 27 August. After appearing at Willesden Magistrates’ Court that day, he was remanded in custody and is next due at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 24 September.

The charges are allegations, and the criminal proceedings remain ongoing.

David Wynter died at Brent Civic Centre

Police were called to reports of a stabbing at Brent Civic Centre on Engineers Way at about 2.30pm on Tuesday, 25 August. Officers attended alongside London Ambulance Service paramedics and found David with stab wounds.

Despite emergency treatment, the 17-year-old died at the scene. Specialist officers continue to support his family.

The Metropolitan Police investigation remains active. Detective Chief Inspector Aytac Necati, who is leading the investigation, said officers believe a number of people were in the area when the incident occurred and may hold information or video footage that could assist detectives.

Court dates and investigation status

St Hillaire, the unnamed 17-year-old and Farquharson are all scheduled to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 31 August. The next confirmed hearing for the 15-year-old boy is at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 24 September.

Investigators have asked people not to circulate footage of the incident online. Police acknowledged that clips may already be appearing on social media and urged anyone who encounters relevant material to contact officers instead of sharing it further.

Superintendent Chris Clarke said reassurance patrols had been increased in the Wembley area following concern within the community. Residents should expect a greater police presence over the coming days and weeks and can approach local officers with concerns.
