Safeguarding Week: free North Yorkshire sessions from 15 June
Safeguarding Week Learning Sessions will run from Monday, 15 June to Friday, 19 June, with more than 60 free online and face-to-face sessions across North Yorkshire, York, Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Free sessions across the region from Monday
The programme begins on Monday, 15 June, under the theme “safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility”. The sessions are designed to help people recognise signs of abuse or neglect, understand how concerns can be reported, and share practice across adult and child safeguarding.
Topics in the week-long programme include rough sleeping outreach support, autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, domestic abuse, modern slavery and other safeguarding themes. Community safety officers will also be joined by colleagues from North Yorkshire Police at several public locations during the week.
