Redbridge Sets Out Growth Pitch for Local Investment

Redbridge Council used UKREiiF 2026 to promote its regeneration and investment plans to developers, investors and government partners, with Ilford and sites linked to the Elizabeth Line central to the borough’s pitch.

The council said its delegation attended the UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum to attract investment, strengthen partnerships and present opportunities set out in the Invest Redbridge Prospectus. The event brought together more than 16,000 people from national and local government, property, infrastructure and development sectors.

Ilford and Elizabeth Line sites in focus

Redbridge’s case to investors centred on the borough’s transport links and the scope for regeneration in areas including Ilford. The council said the Elizabeth Line, which runs through the borough, has strengthened Redbridge’s position as a connected part of east London.

Council leader Kam Rai said London’s growth eastwards made Redbridge one of the capital’s remaining opportunities for large-scale investment. He said the council had held positive discussions at the conference and wanted to progress talks with partners able to support new homes, jobs and local opportunities.

Council pitch to developers and funders

The Redbridge leadership team delegation included chief executive Claire Hamilton, executive director of place, communities and enterprise Steve Moore, and senior regeneration officers.

According to the council, UKREiiF was used to promote the Invest Redbridge Prospectus, gather market intelligence on viability and funding models, and build relationships with priority developers, investors and government bodies.

Hamilton said the event had shown interest from investors and development partners, which the council views as confidence in Redbridge’s future regeneration programme.

Investor forum planned for October

The next step will be a series of follow-up meetings with developers, investors and strategic partners to explore opportunities discussed at UKREiiF 2026.

The council also plans to use feedback from the conference to refine its investment narrative and future engagement work. A Redbridge Investor Forum is scheduled for October 2026, when senior figures from the development and investment sectors are expected to review the borough’s regeneration pipeline.
