Paisley crash appeal after off-road bike rider is critically hurt
Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Paisley left a 19-year-old off-road bike rider with life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened at about 9.45pm on Saturday 12 September at the junction of Foxbar Road and Gleniffer Road. It involved a grey Vauxhall Corsa and an orange off-road bike.
Emergency services attended and the bike rider was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Police said his condition remains serious. The 22-year-old woman driving the Corsa was also taken to hospital to be checked over.
Collision at Foxbar Road and Gleniffer Road
Road policing officers are continuing enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the collision. Police have not released further information about how the grey Vauxhall Corsa and orange off-road bike came into contact.
The incident occurred at a junction in Paisley, and officers are asking people who were nearby around the time of the crash to consider whether they saw either vehicle before the collision or witnessed what happened.
Motorists who travelled through the area are also being asked to check any dash-cam footage. Recordings from before, during or shortly after the incident could help officers establish the sequence of events.

Police seek another orange bike rider
Sergeant Scott Gourlay said police are particularly keen to trace the rider of another orange off-road bike who was present when the crash occurred.
Police believe that rider may have information that could assist the investigation. The appeal is not limited to people who saw the collision itself: anyone who noticed either vehicle in the area, or has footage that may show relevant movements, is asked to get in touch.

Anyone able to assist should call Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 3626 of Saturday 13 September 2026.
