A town-centre parade before the stage opens

The celebrations will include a colourful Pride parade through Market Square, ending at the heart of the event before the stage programme begins.

That puts the parade and the main festival activity in the same central location, making Market Square the focal point for residents and visitors heading into Northampton for the day. The event is being organised by the Northampton Pride Committee and supported by local partners, sponsors and volunteers.

Committee chair Nick Allen said the event was about creating “a welcoming space for people to come together, celebrate and connect”, adding that organisers were looking forward to seeing the community gather for the day.

Harry Styles tribute act leads the live line-up

The main stage programme will be hosted by Miss Alexis and headlined by Late Night Talking, a Harry Styles tribute act.

The confirmed line-up also includes Miss Cara-mel Latte, TEENA and That Joe Payne. Local performance groups will be part of the programme too, with Theatre Front of House, made up of Royal & Derngate’s Front of House team, and Northampton Musical Theatre Company also appearing.

The mix gives the event a broad entertainment bill rather than a single-stage headline slot alone, with drag, music, theatre-linked performers and local talent all named in the council’s preview.

Stalls, emergency services and Pride merchandise

Away from the stage, visitors will be able to browse stalls from local organisations, community groups and independent businesses. Confirmed names include the University of Northampton, The Lowdown, SpacePony Facepainting, FigHous, The Creative Cupcake Company and Proud Cobblers.

Pride-themed merchandise will also be available to buy on the day.

The programme includes an emergency services area with a fire engine display, along with the Sno Van. First aid provision will be delivered by St John Ambulance.

What still needs to be confirmed

The main practical gap for visitors is the event timing. West Northamptonshire Council says further details, including event timings and additional activities, will be shared soon.

Northampton Pride 2026 is backed by sponsors and partners including Northampton Town Council, Northampton BID, UNISON, Michael Jones Jewellers, Buzz Bingo and Tesco through Horlock House, with fundraising support from the Northants Lesbian Society. NLive Radio will return as the official media partner.
