Lincolnshire students face two key results days this month

Lincolnshire students will receive their 2026 exam results on two Thursdays in August, marking the next step towards further education, training or employment.

A Level results are due on Thursday 13 August, followed by GCSE results on Thursday 20 August. Lincolnshire County Council says the dates are a major milestone for teenagers across the county as they confirm their plans after school.

What the results mean for students

Cllr Natalie Oliver, Executive Councillor for Children’s Services, said she was looking forward to hearing about students’ successes across the county.

“While the majority will get the grades they need for their next steps, there will be some who are disappointed with their results,” she said.

If your grades are not what you expected

The council’s message to students receiving disappointing results is to stay positive and remember they are not alone. It says support is available for those who need it.

Students and families who need help should speak to their school or college promptly about their circumstances and the next steps available to them. The council notice does not list named support services or set out particular alternative routes, so schools and colleges will be the first place to confirm what help applies in an individual case.

Oliver said students should be proud of what they have accomplished and wished them well for the future, whatever their plans might be.
