The Gunnersbury Park performance on 9 July

A Midsummer Night’s Dream by East London Shakespeare Festival will be performed in Gunnersbury Park as an outdoor theatre event on Thursday 9 July.

The production follows Hermia, Lysander, Helena and Demetrius into an enchanted forest, where mischievous fairies turn their world upside down. The source describes the show as a lively version of Shakespeare’s much-loved comedy, with romance, magic and a fresh spin on the play.

For local families and theatre fans, the practical draw is simple: it is an evening performance in the park, the show is described as family-friendly, and audiences are invited to pack a picnic for the summer setting.
