Who the June sessions are for

The workshops are aimed at businesses that deal directly with visitors, customers or guests, including hospitality, retail, leisure, accommodation, food and drink, and visitor-facing services.

They may also be useful for small firms that want to strengthen staff confidence, sharpen customer service routines or adapt their offer before busier cultural events bring more people into Southport.

Sefton Economic Forum closes the month

InvestSefton will also hold the Sefton Economic Forum at Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa on Wednesday 24 June.

The forum is described as a flagship event in the local business calendar. Sefton Council says it will include presentations from a range of speakers, including a Bank of England representative identified in the council notice as Ken and award-winning writer Frank Cottrell-Boyce.

A Business Support Marketplace will follow from 11am, giving firms a chance to connect with support services after the main two-hour session.

Southport’s cultural programme drives business planning

The latest InvestSefton events follow recent digital and social media masterclasses. More than 300 local businesses have already attended InvestSefton-organised sessions covering marketing, customer experience and digital presence.

The council is positioning the programme around Southport’s 2026 cultural schedule, where visitor numbers can create extra demand for venues, shops and service providers.

Businesses can book a free place at any of the June events by contacting InvestSefton on investsefton@sefton.gov.uk or 0151 934 3452.
