Six arrested after fatal stabbing in Clapham
Six men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 22-year-old man died following a stabbing in Clapham, the Metropolitan Police said.
The victim reached hospital with a stab wound during the early hours of Saturday, 25 July. Medical professionals attempted to save him, but he died in hospital. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
Four other men were admitted to hospital with stab wounds shortly after the victim arrived. Police said their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, although they remained in hospital for treatment when the force issued its statement.
Four injured men among the six arrested
The four injured men — three aged 22 and one aged 24 — were arrested on suspicion of murder. Officers conducting urgent enquiries also arrested two further men, aged 27 and 23, at the hospital. The Metropolitan Police said those two men remained in police custody.

The police statement reports six arrests on suspicion of murder but does not report that anyone has been charged. It also does not identify the men or explain how they are connected to the victim and the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee is leading the investigation. She said enquiries were progressing quickly as officers worked to establish what happened.
Superintendent Mark Gallacher described the death as a tragic incident and said officers were continuing to support the victim’s family. He acknowledged the concern the killing was likely to cause within the local community and said specialist detectives were working to determine the full circumstances.
