Finsbury Park major gigs bring road closures this July
Finsbury Park is preparing for three live event days from Friday 3 July to Sunday 5 July, with Biffy Clyro, Kasabian and Wolf Alice among the major names due to perform as part of the Major Events programme.

Haringey Council said letters were sent to residents in June about the events and their impact on the local area. The programme will bring live music back to one of north London’s busiest public parks, with extra attention on traffic, parking, noise and crowd management once shows finish.
Music, sound checks and pyrotechnics
The confirmed line-up details in the notice focus on Biffy Clyro, Kasabian and Wolf Alice. The council notice also says there is a high likelihood of pyrotechnic displays during the events, with timings to be published on the resident website once confirmed.
Sound checks and rehearsals are expected on the day before, and on the morning of, each event. According to the notice, they will not exceed 90 minutes within a pre-agreed three-hour window. Low-level recorded music may be played after gates open and before the first act comes on stage.
Festival Republic has previously carried out independent vibration studies during live event days and is bringing that work back for the 2026 events. The notice says the noise and vibration team will be available to answer questions.
Road closures and station crowds after shows
The largest disruption is expected at the end of each night, when roads around the park will be managed to move crowds away from the area.
Seven Sisters Road, between Fonthill Road and Green Lanes, is due to close to traffic for 90 minutes between 10pm and 11.30pm on Friday 3 July and Saturday 4 July. On Sunday 5 July, the closure is planned from 9pm to 10.30pm.
Stroud Green Road, from the Lennox Road and Woodstock Road junction to Seven Sisters Road, will close from 12 noon on each event day until after attendees have left the area. Northbound bus access will be maintained between Wells Terrace and the Lennox Road and Woodstock Road junction during that period.
The notice says Finsbury Park Station, Manor House Station and Seven Sisters Road will be very busy during the road closure periods. Before the show ends, customers will leave through the arena entrance. After the show ends, the exit route will move to the north-east side of the park towards Manor House, with attendees exiting onto Seven Sisters Road and then turning right for Finsbury Park Station or left for Manor House Station.
Parking controls residents need to check
Parking controls will operate across affected controlled parking zones on all three event days. Event day controls in Finsbury Park CPZ and Finsbury Park B and C CPZs will run until 8.30pm from Friday 3 July to Sunday 5 July.
Existing Green Lanes A and Green Lanes B CPZ times will also be extended on the event dates. On Friday 3 July, the extension runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. On Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July, it runs from 8.30am to 8.30pm.
Osborne Road parking bays will be suspended during the event days for private hire, Uber and Bolt drop-offs and pick-ups, ending at midnight. The notice says vehicles must not park in resident or business bays on the listed roads during the affected times unless they display a valid Green Lanes CPZ permit or visitors’ permit.
Bike parking, taxis and local access
Festival Republic is working with Lime and Forest to manage shared bike use during the live events. Bikes will be directed to designated parking bays on Woodstock and Upper Tollington Park Road, with operator teams available to move bikes left in unsuitable places.
A designated taxi pick-up location will be in place on Osborne Road. Residents on Alexandra Grove, Finsbury Park Road, Wilberforce Road, Queens Drive, Portland Rise or streets between Monsell Road and Seven Sisters Road may need to book taxis to a nearby location between 8pm and 12pm on event days, according to the notice.
