Ealing residents get a new route into skills and jobs

Ealing residents now have a new place to find adult learning, employment support and connections with local employers. The learning and skills hub has opened at Perceval House on Uxbridge Road, giving residents a central venue for training, career support and community activities.

The hub was officially opened on Wednesday 29 July by Ealing Council leader Peter Mason and Howard Dawber, deputy mayor of London for business and growth. It has been part-funded by an almost £680,000 grant from the Greater London Authority.

Live learning links across all seven towns

The opening event demonstrated how teaching and support can be delivered across Ealing’s seven towns at the same time. The new hub connected live online with learning zones in each town, allowing learners to take part remotely or in person.

The network began with the first learning zone in Northolt in 2022. There is now a zone in each of the borough’s seven towns, creating a wider local network for residents who may need flexible access to education and employment services.

Those learning zones have supported more than 1,000 residents since launching. Learners have achieved 2,566 qualifications and training outcomes across subjects including English, maths, digital skills, English as a second language, employability and family learning.
